Guinness Singapore Rugby Women’s Club Sevens 2010

The 2010 Guinness Singapore Rugby Women’s Sevens was held at Yio Chu Kang Stadium last Saturday 30th Jan.
After the round-robin stage was completed, the play-offs saw Blacks A face SRC and Blacks B face Bucks A.
 
In the first cup semi-final, Blacks A had more possession and good attacking phases and defeated SRC 43-0. In the second cup semi-final, Blacks B started the game sloppily and were unable to break through Bucks A defense line. Bucks A won the game 17-10 and proceeded to the cup final.

In the Bowl round robin games, RSC won both games against Bucks B and NUS to emerge as this year’s Bowl Champion.

In the Plate final, SRC seemed to be fired up after a poor match against Blacks B in the group stage and went on to beat Blacks B 15-5 to win the Plate Champion.

In the Cup Final, Bucks A just could not stop Blacks A who won the match convincingly with a 36-0 score line and were crowned Cup Champions.
