The last weekend saw some great rugby being played at the Premiership level which began with a pulsating match of the round on Friday night where the Wanderers met Bucks at YCK Stadium. Weather and field conditions were perfect for the game, and the pitch was looking usually pristine after the Christmas break. Bucks have had an inconsistent season to date with a mixed bag of results so far and came into this game fresh from a 3 weeks break. Wanderers had the opportunity to blow off some cobwebs and Christmas ham the week before and looked prime to maintain their unbeaten run.

A happy new year to all as we continue the second half of the SRU National Leagues.

In the Premiership, defending champions Wanderers RFC remain unbeaten and look to continue their dominance with a convincing 39-15 win over Bedok Kings RFC. With 3 wins out of 3, Wanderers RFC cemented the top spot again this weekend with SCC trailing just one point behind. The champions will face third placed Bucks RFC tomorrow and the game will be live streamed on SRU’s facebook page at 7.30pm. SCC plays Saints RFC on Saturday and it will be interesting to see if there will be any changes to the top 3 standings after this weekend.
