The Singapore Rugby Union (SRU) last night unveiled the 2017 Men’s National Team at a jersey presentation at the Singapore Cricket Club. The team seeks to top the Division 2 tournament and earn promotion back to Division 1 at the first time of asking.

Singapore Rugby Union has announced the 23 Men’s 15s squad that will travel to Sri Lanka from 20-22nd October 2017 for a friendly match against the Kandy Sports Club. The team is into the final phase of their 9 months preparation for the Asia Rugby Championship Division 2 held on 15th November 2017 against India followed by either Chinese Taipei or Thailand on the 18th.

The Singapore Rugby Union (SRU) has named the Women’s 7s squad that will travel to Colombo, Sri Lanka for the second and final leg of the Asia Rugby Women’s Sevens Series 2017 from 14-15th October 2017. The Singapore Women are currently ranked 7th in Asia after the first leg and are aiming to finish overall 6th in Asia to qualify for the 2018 Asian Games.

Tanglin Rugby Club (TRC) had partnered Future Hope Charity to bring 22 kids to Singapore to participate in the CHUBB TRC Cup. This is part of a 2 way partnership where TRC will also be travelling to Kolkata to volunteer for the charity to build a strong relationship.
