SRU and ARIS to Offer Standard First Aid, NRC-CPR and World Rugby First Aid in Rugby L1 Certificates, 3 in 1 Course

Aris Integrated Medical (www.aris-im.com) and Singapore Rugby Unions (www.singaporerugby.com) registered first aid trainers and World Rugby medical trainers have combined to launch a Singapore first aid course which meets the needs of the general and the sports communities, by being able to issue Singapore Standard First Aid (SFA) certificates and an internationally recognised sport specific certificate, issued by World Rugby, to successful participants.

Singapore Youth Olympics Festival Rugby 7s Results

The early morning showers did not prevent the 14 teams from making their way to Yio Chu Kang for the Singapore Youth Olympics Festival (SYOF) Rugby 7s tournament on 15th July 2017. The SYOF is a legacy of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) held in Singapore in 2010. Opened to youths aged 18 and below, the SYOF aims to promote Olympic values of Friendship, Excellence and Respect. Singapore Women’s 7s athletes Peiyi and Chiew Hong were invited as Guest of Honour for this tournament. The pair will be representing Singapore at the upcoming South East Asian Games on 19-20th August!

Singapore Rugby Union (SRU) Announces New Technical Director Ahead of South East Asian Games

The Singapore Rugby Union (SRU) announced today the appointment of Gene Tong as the new Technical Director. Tong will be responsible for the development and implementation of high performance structures for the National Teams, to mentor coaches with the collective aim of improving the on-field performance of Singapore rugby. He takes over from Inoke Afeaki who departed in June 2017.
